“The Circle of Friendship”
The Circle of Friendship is now well into its second year meeting the first Saturday of every month except January and February This is an outreach of the Evangelism Committee. We are very excited because the “circle” is growing! We are now averaging 15 to 20 people with various disabilities at our gatherings.
We kicked things off this year welcoming Ms. Nancy Taylor from Reins of Life! Reins of Life is a therapeutic program that uses horseback riding to aide individuals with physical disabilities. In April, Mr. Merle Miller and his wife entertained us with a special variety show! What a hoot!! In May we invited an experienced dream therapist, Ms.Terese Fabbi, to explain what dreams mean! The month of June we were amazed by a Christian juggler, Mr. LaMar Yoder, with a twist as he juggled; he told stories of his faith! In July, we were entertained by the musical talent of our very own David Kessler and Derek Bjonback. Besides their wonderful duets they invited us to sing-along! You couldn’t help but tap your feet with the music!
Starting in August, if you stop into Christo’s or Round the Clock restaurants, check out our recent ad for The Circle of Friendship on their place mats. We pray this will help increase our membership and tell the community what we are doing. We are also on Face Book with our upcoming events! Check us out!!
